Let’s celebrate things looking up in 2021 with a running or walking tour of our town!

The Yardley Parks and Rec Board is sponsoring a self-directed running or walking tour of Yardley Borough. Our town has many great streets and neighborhoods that you might have missed if you mainly stick to Main Street or Afton Avenue. Let’s celebrate the coming end of our challenging year with a run or stroll through Yardley. The maps below are all the streets of Yardley Boro. How many can you discover this year?

There are 3 ways you can participate as a runner or walker:

  • Walk or Run on your own [no cost]

  • Show Your Yardley Pride with a Yardley Step-by-Step T-shirt to wear after your adventure - $10

  • We are helping to raise funds for the replacement of the Mary Yardley Footbridge. Individuals or Teams can secure sponsorships for their adventure. Individuals who raise $50 or more and Teams who collectively raise an average of $50 per member will receive complementary Yardley Step-by-Step T-Shirts.   • Sign up online using the link above.. Don’t forget to let us know which participation level you plan to participate under. Tee shirts will be ordered when fees are received [Deadline for those paying registration fees is September 1, 2021]

  • Safety First! Please run or walk in daytime and clear conditions. You will be sharing many of the streets with others.

  • Please practice all social distancing procedures and long as the current situation continues.

  • Take pictures of yourself and all the interesting sites on your journey. You can upload your
    logs and picutures using the Challenge Complete! link below.

  • Wear bright colors or better yet, run or walk with a friend to increase your visibility.

  • Fill in your own personal log as you go

  • All who complete the Yardley Step-by-Step Walk/Run Challenge will be recognized in the Yardley Newsletter and on Town Facebook page.
